This is a nice and pretty amazing web site that was a friend of mine was telling me about earlier.

It's called Akinator, the Web Genius.

It's kind of like a game where you think of a person (real or not) and then you answer a series of questions. After a couple of questions, the web site guesses who you were thinking about in the beginning.

Believe it or not, all I can say is that it even got Rurik of all people in just 20 questions.

So go ahead, try to stump it and don't forget to post your results here.

You say "just" 20, but even if those are only y/n questions, that leads you to over a million profiles to store. (2 to the power of 20)

Moreover, as soon as someone doesn't get the right result, hell be asked who he thought of and so enters the parameters into the database.

Not impressive at all.

There was a thread on this a while ago, and it totally failed for me. I did it 6 times and it only got one right. It picked some old italian actress when I'd specifically answered a question to say the actress was YOUNG.

The problem you guys are having is that in order for it to guess, it has to know who you're thinking of.

So you can't just pick your best mate Rob and expect it to pick him. That goes for obscure nobodies that only you and several other people in the world care to know about, like the guy who brushed Mr Ed before the show filmings.
